Fort Erie Race Track, free live racing. First post is 4:30 p.m. Monday and 12:15 p.m. Sunday. Admission and parking are both free, no ticket needed.
The Caverners at Port Colborne's waterfront bandshell. Pre-show market and games start at 6 p.m., the band takes the stage at 7 p.m., H.H. Knoll Lakeview Park. A Beatles tribute show, free to attend; 19+ can bring their own drink.
Port Dalhousie Supper Market. Tuesday from 5 p.m., music from 5:30, right on the Lake Ontario shoreline in St. Catharines. Food trucks, local wine and beer, free entry.
Queenston Heights Sunday Afternoon Concert Series. Sunday, August 30, 2 to 4 p.m., Queenston Heights Park near Niagara-on-the-Lake. Free. This week's act is the Fort Erie Ukes. Bring a blanket or pick up Sunday brunch at the on-site restaurant first.
Thorold Community Market, last regular week. Wednesday, 5 to 9 p.m. at Battle of Beaverdams Park. Local produce, food vendors, live music and a classic car show. This is the final regular Wednesday before the market's Grand Finale on September 5.

Heading into Niagara Falls for the fireworks or a night on Clifton Hill? Paid lots near the Hill run $30 to $40. Park at Rapidsview Lot instead and take the free WEGO shuttle in. Same access, a fraction of the cost.
Planning a Niagara-on-the-Lake day trip? Fritters on the Lake on King Street gets slammed by tour buses around noon. Show up mid-morning and you'll walk right up.

The real season finale at Queenston Heights lands Sunday, September 6, 2 to 4 p.m., with Hedley & Walker closing out the venue's 50th anniversary season. Thorold's Grand Finale market follows the day before, Saturday, September 5, noon to 4 p.m. at Battle of Beaverdams Park, with the classic car show and vendors that make the weekly version worth the drive. Two other regulars are expected to carry into September, the Shaw Festival's current season in Niagara-on-the-Lake and the Jackson-Triggs concert series at their Niagara Estate, but neither had a confirmed next date at publish time. Worth a quick check before you plan around them.
