Niagara Falls runs fireworks every night this summer, but this week stacks real deadlines on top of that. The Beach Boys play Thursday with tickets nearly gone, and the August long weekend is close enough now that hotel rooms are already tightening. If a Niagara trip is anywhere on your radar, this is the week to move on it.

Event Highlights

  • The Beach Boys Live in Concert Thursday, July 30. OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino, Niagara Falls. Ticketed, nearing capacity. One night only, and the show is close to selling out. If it's on your list, this week is the week to buy, not the week of.

  • Fallsview Casino Backyard BBQ Wednesday, July 29. Fallsview Casino Outdoor Terrace, Niagara Falls. Ticketed. Smoked brisket, grilled sausage, and live music on the terrace overlooking the upper rapids. Close enough to Queen Victoria Park to pair with a walk down to the 10pm fireworks after. I may see you there!

  • Niagara Falls Asian Night Market Friday, July 31, 4pm to 11pm. Canada One Grounds, Lundy's Lane, Niagara Falls. Free entry. Street food vendors, bubble tea, dumplings and craft stalls take over the Canada One plaza for one night, with live cultural performances running through the evening.

  • Niagara Falls Fireworks Series Nightly, through October 12. Queen Victoria Park, Niagara Falls. Free. Five minutes of pyrotechnics light up the gorge against both the American and Horseshoe Falls, every night of the summer. Skip the paid viewing decks. The free spot along the parapet wall in Queen Victoria Park is just as good.

  • August long weekend, act now Saturday, August 1 to Civic Holiday Monday, August 3. Niagara-wide. One of the busiest stretches of the summer here. Hotel rates near the falls climb the closer the weekend gets, so this week is the time to book if you're staying overnight.

Main Event Niagara Falls does fireworks every single night, not just on holidays. At 10pm, five minutes of pyrotechnics light up the gorge against both the American and Horseshoe Falls, running through October 12. Skip the paid viewing decks. The free seats along the parapet wall in Queen Victoria Park are just as good.

While You're There If you're making a night of it, Wednesday brings a backyard style BBQ on the casino's outdoor terrace, with smoked brisket and live music over the river. Friday, the Asian Night Market takes over Canada One on Lundy's Lane from 4pm to 11pm, free to get in, with street food, bubble tea, and craft stalls. Either one pairs naturally with a walk down to the 10pm fireworks.

Toronto Angle Two things to know before you go. Parking right beside Clifton Hill runs $30 to $40 on summer nights, so park at the Rapidsview Lot instead and ride the free WEGO shuttle into Table Rock, skipping the worst of the traffic. And if you want to stay overnight for the August Long Weekend, book this week. Rooms near the falls sell out and prices climb the closer it gets.

Quick Hits The Beach Boys play OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino Thursday night, and seats are nearly gone. The August Long Weekend runs Saturday, August 1 through Monday, August 3, with extended nightly fireworks.

Queenston Heights brings free outdoor concerts back Sunday, August 2, on the lawns above the Niagara River. Tender fruit season is in full swing at farmers markets across St. Catharines, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Welland, and Pelham.
