There is a real chance you have been Googling “Niagara Peach Festival August” and coming up confused.
If you mean the Winona Peach Festival, that is Aug 28–30—not this weekend. Here is what is actually worth driving out for during Aug 10–16.
The Four Worth Knowing
Jackson-Triggs goes two for two
Friday, Aug 14: Wild Rivers
Saturday, Aug 15: July Talk
Where: Jackson-Triggs Estate Winery, Niagara-on-the-Lake
Time: Seating opens at 7pm; shows start at 8pm
Two nights, two different bands, and the same 500-seat outdoor amphitheatre. Both concerts use general admission seating, so arrive when the gates open if you want the best chance of sitting near the front.
Music Niagara closes out its season
Through Friday, Aug 14
Where: Various venues around Niagara-on-the-Lake
Music Niagara’s chamber and classical performances continue through Friday. Prices, times, and locations vary by concert, so check the full programme before committing to an evening.
Storm the Falls takes over Sunday
Sunday, Aug 16, 1pm–8pm
Where: Niagara Falls Convention Centre
Admission: Adults $15; kids 12 and under free
Storm the Falls is Niagara’s indoor car show for people who would rather see a carefully built project car than a polished dealership showroom. Expect serious enthusiast builds, unusual vehicles, and plenty of passion projects.
Port Colborne Farmers Market
Friday, Aug 14, 7am–noon
Where: Market Square, 59 Charlotte Street
Cost: Free to browse
With more than 40 vendors, this is a good early stop if you are heading toward the Lake Erie beaches afterward. Go early for the easiest parking and the best selection.
Local Insider Tips
If you are heading into Niagara-on-the-Lake for either concert, try Fritters on the Lake in the late morning rather than around noon. It is a small, popular spot, and it is much easier to enjoy before the busiest visitor traffic arrives.
Skip the expensive flat-rate lots around Clifton Hill. Check the latest information for Rapidsview parking and use the WEGO shuttle to continue into the tourist district. It can be a much better option on a busy weekend, but check current rates and shuttle details before leaving.
Both Jackson-Triggs shows are general admission, with seating beginning at 7pm for an 8pm start. If you want to sit up front, be at the gate when it opens—not fashionably late.
